URBAN SHUTTERBUG UK
Artist Documentaries, Abstract Architecture & Urban Street Photography
Originally from Sheffield (UK), my photographic style takes influence from the cityscape of my childhood years. Inspired by the city’s industrial heritage and famed brutalist architecture, my architectural photography plays on sharp striking angles, abstract minimalist forms and a vibrant colour palette.
Through my Urban Shutterbug project I showcase the artist from the exciting spark of creative inspiration through to the finished artistic masterpiece. From passionate enthusiasm and sharp attention to detial, I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside artists, both contemporary & urban. Experiencing their creative journey, providing a lasting photo documentation to compliment their work and essential imagery for educational and promotional use.
Visiting locations including London, Bristol, Manchester and Nottingham amongst others. I’ve captured some of the United Kingdom’s most exciting artistic innovators and had opportunities to work at numerous International art festivals.
Complementing a passionate interest in the architecture of our cities, titled ‘Perception’ my street photography focuses on the human story. Influenced by the temporal Graffiti and Street Art movement, Perception celebrates our community spirit and dogged perseverance highlighting social issues of depreciation and gentrificaton, in a lighthearted satirical style. Always venturing to ‘Discover Beauty in the Dismissed’ I explore the subjects and visual elements often taken for granted and aim to deliver my audience an exciting, alternative perspective.
